Overview: This project involved the creation of multiple pages of original illustrations for a children’s book aimed at ages 4-6 year olds.
Overview: This project involved the creation of multiple pages of original illustrations for a children’s book aimed at ages 4-6 year olds.
Concept & Inspiration: The illustrations were inspired by whimsical childrens stories and seeing the wonder in life. My goal was to capture the essence of the story while engaging young readers through vibrant colors, dynamic compositions, and emotionally resonant characters.
Process:
1. Initial Sketches - Began with rough sketches to outline the main scenes and characters.
2. Feedback & Revisions - Collaborated closely with the author to ensure the artwork complemented the narrative.
3. Final Renderings - Utilized hand-drawn techniques and Photoshop to colorize, and implemented InDesign to layout and bring each page to life.
4. Outcome: Successfully delivered 16 full pages of illustrations that brought the story to life, received positive feedback from the publisher and readers alike, and connected me with new clients looking for illustrative work.
